VW is gearing up to release the Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup Street Edition for the US market. Based on the concept shown off at SEMA 2008, the Jetta TDI Cup Street Edition adopts a 2.0-liter clean diesel engine that develops 140 hp and 236 ft-lb of torque. Meanwhile, the engine can be paired to either a six-speed manual or the DSG paddle-shift transmission. The car will hit dealerships in January 2010 for a starting price of $25,000. [WorldCarFans]
