
SsangYong has just showcased the production version of its 2012 SsangYong SUT-1 at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. Coming in both rear-wheel drive and part-time all-wheel drive configurations, this new pickup truck is equipped with a 2.0-liter diesel engine (w/ either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission) that produces a 114kW of power and 360Nm of torque. In terms of safety, the car comes with electronic stability control, dual airbags, four-wheel disc brakes, front and rear fog lights and a reversing warning system. SsangYong has issued several teaser images of the Concept XIV-1. The CUV (crossover utility vehicle) has no B-Pillar and comes with opposite-opening rear doors and seats that can be moved or turned by the occupant for a very open-space ambiance. SsangYong’s newest crossover ‘Korando’ is set to make its UK debut in September. This compact SUV will come in three different trim levels including the S model with a front wheel drive system, the ES model with a front wheel drive system and the EX model with an all-wheel drive system. Under the hood, power will come from a 2.0-liter four cylinder turbo diesel engine (w/ either a six speed manual or automatic transmission) that produces 173bhp and 360Nm of torque. Korean automaker Ssangyong has just introduced their upcoming luxury sedan ‘Chairman H’ at this year’s Seoul Motor Show. Featuring obvious Mercedes-Benz design cues, the Chairman H will come in two different six-cylinder engine options: one with 147kW of power and 270Nm of torque, and the other with 163kW and 310Nm. The car itself will be manufactured in Korea and will go on sale in May. [Car Advice]

Korean automaker Ssangyong has just announced the availability of their new compact SUV ‘Korando‘ in Australia. The car is offered in three different specification levels including the S model with a front wheel drive system and a choice of either six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, the SX model with an all-wheel drive system and the option of manual or auto, and the SPR model with an all-wheel drive system and auto-only. All of these models are equipped with Ssangyong’s all new e-XDI200 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine that generates 129kW and 360Nm of torque. Prices ranging from $26,311 for the entry-level S model and goes up to $36,811 for the top of the range SPR model. [Car Advice]

Korean automaker SsangYong has unveiled another one of its upcoming crossover, the Korando. Designed in Europe by Giorgetto Giugiaro, this new crossover will be available in five different models, with the option of two-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, 6-speed manual and automatic, and two trim levels. Underneath, power will come from a new Euro5 2.0-liter diesel engine with 175 PS. The Korando is scheduled to hit UK at the end of 2010, however, there’s no word on pricing yet. More»
