Land Rover today unveiled the 2012 Defender model range, which will go on sale in the UK from November 2011. The 2012 Land Rover Defender is powered by a 2.2-liter diesel engine that meets the EU5 emissions standard and develops 122PS at 3,500rpm and 360Nm of torque at 2,000rpm. The top speed of the 2.2-liter 2012 Defender is rated at 90 mph. The CO2 emissions of the Land Rover Defender 2012 model range are rated at 266g/km for the 90 and 295g/km for the 110 and 130. Jeep today announced the price list of the 2011 Compass for the UK market. The 2011 Jeep Compass will be released in the British market from April 15th, 2011 with a base price of 16,995 GBP ($27,838). The standard engine for the 2011 Jeep Compass is a 2.0L World Engine making 158-hp and 141 lb-ft of torque. Also available is a 2.4L World Engine that makes 172-hp and 165 lb-ft of torque. It is available on all models and features Variable Valve Timing on both intake and exhaust camshafts. The 2011 Jeep Compass also features a standard five-speed manual on the entry-level Compass and a CVT that is available on the Compass and standard on the Latitude and Limited models.
