Hyundai has showcased their latest SUV at this month’s Los Angeles Auto Show. Known as the 2010 Hyundai Tucson, this new SUV sports a new Theta II 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine paired to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission that outputs a total of 176 hp and 168 lb-ft of torque. Toyota has announced the 2010 Toyota Highlander SE price for the US market. This new SUV is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine with VVT-i and mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. The engine can generate a total of 270 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, standard features include leather-trim seats, heated front seats, Tri-Zone automatic front and rear air conditioning, power tilt/slide moonroof, AM/FM radio system with a six-disc CD changer, 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, Homelink universal transceiver, heated outside mirrors, Daytime Running Lights and a tow package. Volkswagen and its Chinese partner Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp (SAIC) have introduced the redesigned Tiguan SUV at the 7th Annual International Auto Show in Guangzhou, China. The Chinese version features a new grille that extends to the headlights and a re-profiled front bumper, a new three-spoke steering wheel and the redesigned instrument panel that features two central gauges incorporating two smaller dials. Lexus has recently announced the MSRPs for its second generation luxury SUV, the 2010 Lexus GX460. This 7-seater SUV is available in two different trim levels: the base model for $51,970, and the premium model for $56,765. Meanwhile, power comes from a 4.6-liter V8 engine paired to a six-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift that is capable of producing 301 hp and 329 lb-ft of torque.
