Volkswagen has showcased their newest hatchback/wagon ‘Gran Lavida’ at this year’s Shanghai Auto Show. Based on the Lavida compact sedan, the Lavida Gran will come in three different engine options including two naturally aspirated gasoline 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter four cylinder mills, and a turbocharged 1.4-liter TSI engine. The all new Volkswagen Golf GTD has just been priced in the UK. First introduced at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show last month, the Golf GTD is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged common rail diesel engine that outputs 184 hp and 380 Nm of torque. Volkswagen has just announced the availability of their new hot hatchback ’2013 Golf VII GTI’ in the UK. Priced from 25,845 GBP (about $39,639), the 2013 Golf VII GTI is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine (w/ a 6-speed manual gearbox) that generates 220 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Performance-wise, the car has a top speed of 246 km/h and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. [AR]

The new all-electric version of the 2013 Up! has just been introduced by Volkswagen. This compact city car is equipped with an electric motor that outputs 82HP and 210Nm of torque.
