Here’s the latest electric concept car ‘E-Up’ from Volkswagen that was presented during this year’s Frankfurt Auto Show. This zero emissions car is powered by an 18-kWh lithium-ion battery and an electric motor capable of outputting 80 hp. The battery provides a range of about 80 miles and takes less than five hours to be fully charged. The car itself is capable of reaching 0-62 mph in just 11.3 seconds with a top speed of 84 mph. The Volkswagen L1 concept has been unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. This amazing concept car’s body is composed of lightweight carbon fiber and aluminum which allows it to achieve an amazing 189-miles per gallon. The car is powered by a diesel-electric hybrid engine, which is capable of a top speed of 99-miles per hour. The company has planned to release the L1 within three years. [AVING]

The 2010 Volkswagen Golf R is a successor to the R32 variant of the previous-generation Golf. The new model is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivering 270 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The Golf R accelerates from 0-60 in 5.7 seconds when equipped with a manual transmission. Presenter Vicki Butler-Henderson from Fifth Gear has made a review video of the new Volkswagen Golf GTD based on the sixth iteration of the mode. For your info, the Golf GTD is powered by a 2.0-liter common rail TDI engine that generates 170 PS and 258 lbs ft of torque allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.2 seconds with a top speed of 138 mph. Volkswagen is set to introduce its new Polo 3-door at the upcoming 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The car will be offered in three different equipment levels including Trendline, Comfortline and Highline. While the engine itself will be available in six different choices with output ranging from 59 hp to 104 hp.
