A new small two-seater electric car ‘Tazzari Zero EV’ is being developed in Italy and will hit the street beginning of 2010. The car uses Lithium batteries and has a range of up to 88 miles (142km) with top speed of 55 mph (90 km/h). The car is equipped with CD/MP3 player, leather steering wheel, air conditioning, fog lamps, LED tail lights, removable sunroof and 15-inch custom colored wheels. Verdek-EV will start selling the Zero EV in North America, Mexico and the Caribbean islands next year. In Europe the vehicle will start at €20,000. [MotorAuthority]
