Volkswagen Golf R Cabriolet Concept

by Isaiah on June 2, 2011

Volkswagen has showcased their newest concept car at the 2011 Worthersee. Called the Golf R Cabriolet Concept, this open-top vehicle is equipped with some exterior modifications like an aggressive front bumper, modified side skirts, carbon mirror caps and a center mounted dual sports exhaust system. Other highlights include sport suspensions, enormous brakes with orange painted brake calipers and a set of 19-inch alloy wheels fitted with high performance tires. Underneath, power comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 270PS and 350Nm of torque (top speed 250 km/h, 0-100 km/h in 6 seconds). Sadly, there’s no word whether this car will go into production or not. [AR]
