Volkswagen Polo R WRC

Volkswagen has unveiled the new Polo R WRC rally car. The four-wheel-drive rally car will be powered by a 1.6-liter TSI engine, developing almost 300hp. The engine of the Volkswagen Polo R WRC will probably be mated to a sequential transmission. Additionally, the VW Polo R WRC will be equipped with direct injection and turbocharging, as stipulated by FIA’s World Rally Championship regulations. The picture above also shows that the Polo WRC rally car has a new widebody aerodynamics package, a new hood with various vents, a gigantic rear wing and a roof air scoop.
